Discussion Title: Is Kialo the best site to publicly work on issues? 1. Kialo the best site to publicly work on issues. 1.1. Pro: There is little interference by the admins of the entire website in discussions. 1.2. Con: The dynamic capabilities on Kialo \(editing others claims and the discussion/branch premises being changed\) is [not favorable](https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/why-kialo-me-gregory-kohs) for everyone. 1.2.1. Pro: Kialo decreases insight and thought process before hand. Because each claim is easily editable, it reduces the completion of each claim as a whole. 1.3. Con: Biases still appear on the website. 1.3.1. Con: Biases are only an issue when left unchecked, potentially developing into an echo chamber. 1.3.2. Pro: There's a lot of criticism about it, because it's not conducive to everyone for openly talking about their ideas without biased backlash. 1.4. Pro: Kialo debates are usually much more structured than they would be on other sites, thanks to its Pro/Con/Thesis design. 1.5. Pro: Each website that a person visits has a unique purpose and there's usually one site that is more prominent and does better than others. Kialo's that for discussions. 1.6. Con: A lot of people don't know about it, and thus don't use it. 1.7. Con: Some say it creates an echo chamber. 1.7.1. Pro: By having one person start and add claims before it goes public, along with them deciding what goes in a debate and what doesn't, the setup puts debates at risk of turning into echo chambers. 1.7.2. Con: Bias by a single admin can and is often balanced out by opposing bias\(es\) from other admins. 1.7.2.1. Con: This is true if all debates have multiple admins. However, many, if not most, discussions have only one admin \(if that\). 1.7.3. Pro: Anyone's voice can be heard and anyone can create what they want to. It's like the Wikipedia for the imagination. But since the ideas come from one person's mind, they may not be popular with everyone once outside of it. 1.8. Pro: Kialo allows for filtering of "[noise](http://www.digitalrhetoriccollaborative.org/2018/04/01/kialo/)" like spam and trolling before they appear on the website. 1.8.1. Con: Even with safeguards, this still happens. 1.8.2. Pro: The fact that claims and comments start off as suggeestions, and that those suggestions can be hidden, greatly reduces the noise and clutter in debates. 1.9. Pro: It allows for ideas to be '[fully fleshed out](https://geoengineering.environment.harvard.edu/blog/debating-solar-geoengineering-kialo-visual-reasoning-platform)'.
