Con: Very complex to handle if many persons are doing time travel all the time. 1.2.1.1. Pro: You travel into the past and alter something. Another time traveler \(TT\) is annoyed by the then altered timeline \(eg. for him it's now bad\) and she will travel back in time to change that. For the first TT his changes will be undone by the time he returns to the "present", for him everything might have changed As example of such a event you can see "Back to future 2" when Marty and Doc return to 1985 after Biff stole the Almanac and gave it to his past-self. 1.2.2. Con: Future/past vision would give us the benefits of time travel without actually having to do so. 1.3. [Element bending](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Elemental_Manipulation) 1.3.1. Pro: [Omniscience](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omniscience) 1.4.1.1.2. Pro: Intelligent characters in superhero comics can usually build whatever device the plot requires, making this a versatile power that can replicate other powers on this list. 1.4.1.1.3. Con: If you're much more intelligent than everyone around you, it can be harder to relate and connect, making you socially isolated. 1.4.1.1.3.1. Pro: You may be constantly frustrated by others' lack of intelligence relative to you. 1.4.1.1.3.2. Pro: People who have high intelligence tend to be [prone to using complex language](https://www.inc.com/marcel-schwantes/a-new-study-reveals-1-surprising-fact-about-leaders-with-high-iq.html) which can make it hard for people to relate to you. 1.4.1.1.3.2.1. Pro: People with a high IQ tend to [suffer more from mental disorders](https://bigthink.com/design-for-good/why-highly-intelligent-people-suffer-more-mental-and-physical-disorders) such as depression. 1.4.1.1.4. Con: If you're much more intelligent than normal humans, events that seem unpredictable to them can become predictable and boring to you. The world could thus become much less interesting. 1.4.1.1.5. Pro: Just because one has the power in one's real life, doesn't mean you have to keep your life mundane, and super-intelligence is one of the best powers for getting ahead in the world; it can at the very least let you be the best entrepreneur on the planet and make vast sums of money. 1.4.1.1.6. Con: Superintelligence falls short in not letting us know everything, due to other limiting factors in life. 1.4.1.1.6.1. Pro: Some of these factors are money, time, levels of relationships with others, etc. 1.4.1.2. Pro: [Telepathy](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Telepathy) 1.4.1.2.1. Con: It may be upsetting to learn what other people really think you by reading their minds. 1.4.1.2.2. Con: Reading other people's emotions and minds without their consent is an infringement on their privacy. 1.4.1.2.3. Pro: [Mind control](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Mind_Control), which is otherwise too villainous a power to discuss under "coolest superhero power", is often among the abilities of powerful telepath superheroes, such as Professor X. 1.4.1.3. Pro: [Persuasiveness](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Persuasion)/Visionary 1.4.1.3.1. Pro: Being able to improve any people's way of thinking through conveying it would be easier and more productive than constantly explanation for tasks. 1.4.1.3.1.1. Pro: This is especially better for smaller ones, where the explanation may take longer than completing the task itself 1.4.1.3.2. Pro: This is what helped Steve Jobs create the largest company on the planet. It's super helpful in the business world. 1.4.1.4. Pro: Telekinesis 1.4.1.5. Pro: Not need sleep 1.4.2. Pro: [Shape-shifting](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Shapeshifting) 1.4.2.1. Pro: With those powers, one could imitate a person's body to have the same capabilities as another person, yet be able to add more features in addition to this to be always more capable than everyone else and thus technically always win. 1.4.2.2. Pro: Very important ability for parents of multiple children as they could grow another pair of hands to hold all children. 1.4.3. Pro: [Contained Metabolism](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Self-Sustenance) 1.4.3.1. Con: This can't last that long, although it may come in handy once in a while. 1.4.3.2. Pro: To reduce or remove the need for bodily necessities would allow people to have a less stressful life. 1.4.3.3. Pro: One would save time and resources not needing to engage in basic bodily requirements. 1.4.4. Pro: Enhanced vision 1.4.4.1. Pro: X-ray vision 1.4.4.1.1. Con: This can be a massive invasion of people's privacy who do not have the power. 1.4.4.2. Pro: Heat vision 1.4.4.3. Pro: Night vision 1.4.4.3.1. Pro: This would be the best for when a person gets lost and can only travel by night when it's not hot out. 1.4.5. Pro: Flying 1.4.5.1. Pro: Traditional means of flying are [harmful for the environment](https://www.vice.com/en_uk/article/a3xyjj/cheap-flights-environment-damage-climate-crisis-ryanair). Being able to fly by yourself would be more environmentally friendly. 1.4.5.2. Con: Dropping things \(eg. mobile phone\) while flying can hurt other people 1.4.5.3. Con: You'll probably get a lot of bugs in your face. 1.4.5.4. Con: A person flying in the sky without a clear idea of what planes might be flying at the same time may end up crashing into something. 1.4.5.4.1. Con: People won't need to worry about that if they fly, as \(airplanes wouldn't be needed anymore given adaption and abilities of course\). 1.4.5.4.1.1. Con: The only way that planes would not be needed anymore is if every person has the super power, which is unlikely. 1.4.5.5. Pro: Flying can make traveling really cheap. 1.4.5.6. Con: Various nations may not like having a strange person flying in their airspace. 1.4.5.6.1. Pro: Just like with \(non-military\) drones today, there need to be no-fly-zones. 1.4.6. Pro: Super strength 1.4.6.1. Pro: This would help in getting work done 1.4.6.1.1. Con: Only if your job involves heavy lifting, which is less likely in a modern first-world country as these countries pivot into the service sector. 1.4.6.2. Con: Super strength can be difficult to control, leading you to cause extensive unnecessary damage. 1.4.7. Pro: [Invisibility](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Invisibility) \(turning oneself invisible\) 1.4.7.1. Con: Not quite useful, as people may still know a person's there by accidentally bumping into them. 1.4.7.2. Con: -> See 1.4.4.1.1. 1.4.8. Pro: Super fast speed 1.4.8.1. Pro: Supernatural, super quick reflexes 1.4.8.2. Con: Since everyone would get work done so quickly, pay by hour would no longer make sense. Instead, a new way of financial compensation for work, likely one based on productivity \(as it will be much greater than normal\). 1.4.9. Pro: Health and safety related powers 1.4.9.1. Pro: [Regenerative Healing](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Regenerative_Healing_Factor) 1.4.9.1.1. Pro: This would save a lot of money that is otherwise spent on medical expenses. 1.4.9.1.1.1. Pro: [Millions of people](https://www.thebalance.com/healthcare-costs-3306068) around the world struggle to meet healthcare expenses. 1.4.9.1.2. Pro: People could engage in exciting and high risk sports without the fear of bodily damage. 1.4.9.1.2.1. Con: Doctors \(certain specialisations\) will become unemployed 1.4.9.2. Pro: Extreme [durability](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Supernatural_Durability) 1.4.9.2.1. Pro: -> See 1.4.9.1.2. 1.4.9.2.2. Con: In real life, a normal person in the modern day in a first-world country is not at a high risk of dying by accident or violence. Thus, being impervious to damage shouldn't be of much benefit. 1.4.9.2.2.1. Con: Someone impervious to bodily damage could be more than "a normal person;" they could take on dangerous work or careers with relative impunity. 1.4.9.3. Pro: [Immunity](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Disease_Immunity) from disease 1.4.9.3.1. Pro: -> See 1.4.9.1.1. 1.4.9.4. Pro: [Immortality](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Immortality) 1.4.9.4.1. Pro: You could use your long life to commit to solving an important humanitarian issue that mere mortals struggle to solve, like world hunger or climate change. 1.4.9.4.2. Con: Earth will be over crowded even faster if people are not dying anymore 1.4.9.4.3. Pro: -> See discussion #7721: If scientifically possible, humans should become immortal. 1.4.9.4.4. Pro: Even if the average day in your immortal life is only 1/10th as good as a day with another superpower, you can have more than 10x as many days, so it can still be better overall. 1.4.9.4.4.1. Con: If each day is mediocre, it's nicer to have a superpower to accomplish superhuman feats than spend an entirety never being able to achieve them. 1.4.9.4.5. Pro: Eternal youth usually comes part and parcel with immortality, and your life with other superpowers would get a lot less fun as you lose your health and looks. 1.4.9.4.6. Con: You will outlive all of humanity and eventually endure an awful death if possible when the universe ends or at least live for eternity in a universe that becomes ever darker as every star fizzles out 1.4.9.4.7. Con: If you alone are immortal, you will forever watch as your loved ones die around you, over and over again. 1.5. [Teleportation](https://powerlisting.fandom.com/wiki/Teleportation) 1.5.1. Pro: Teleportation would save people a lot of money that they would otherwise spend traveling in cars and planes etc. 1.5.2. Pro: Teleportation would likely reduce emissions from transportation vehicles, as those vehicles would no longer be necessary. 1.5.3. Con: Security for buildings and important people will get complicated when bad guys can appear at will at any given point. 1.5.4. Con: There is value inherent to travelling that would be lost if teleportation were possible \(as people would be able to get where they need to go to instantly\). 1.5.4.1. Con: We already have natural stoppers to travel - like not being able to afford it. So while that's true in the long-term, in the short-term, it'll actually spark travel in ways that aren't possible now and actually feed that human desire instead of decrease it. 1.5.4.2. Con: It's highly unlikely that people will run out of places to travel to, but that people may exhaust all the places they've want been wanting to go to faster than thinking of new places they want to travel to after that. If people either continually think about new places as quickly as they travel or space out the destinations, this wouldn't be an issue. 1.5.4.3. Pro: Travelling is an incentive to work hard and remain productive. When it can be achieved in a matter of seconds with no meaningful input, people will no longer have goals to work for and become unproductive. 1.5.4.3.1. Pro: People would be unmotivated to leave their home, because the excitement and anticipation of going somewhere goes away. 1.5.4.3.1.1. Pro: The world may end up with a society of people who just watch TV all day, which would not be productive for real life. 1.5.4.4. Pro: The fun in travelling is in the journey, not the destination. 1.5.4.4.1. Pro: Traveling is a major desire by the majority of humans \(see [wanderlust](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/wanderlust)\), which gets taken away through teleportation. 1.5.4.5. Pro: People are always moving and our bodies are built for motion. With teleportation, we'd be moving less, which goes against our nature. 1.5.5. Pro: This will allow the person to save a lot of time on a daily basis. 1.6. Resourcefulness - being able to create powerful endless and harmless resources. 1.6.1. Pro: The world is [quickly running out](https://www.ecotricity.co.uk/our-green-energy/energy-independence/the-end-of-fossil-fuels) of non renewable resources and this would solve that problem very efficiently. 1.6.1.1. Con: Consumption of the unlimited resources would amount to unlimited trash buildup. 1.6.2. Pro: Many people are in need of basic resources worldwide. Having this power would allow you to better their lives. 1.6.2.1. Pro: More than [1.2 billion](https://www.sciencedaily.com/terms/water_scarcity.htm) people lack access to clean drinking water. 1.6.3. Con: The limitless creation of resources would heavily destabilise the economy and lead to mass structural insecurity. This will affect the people who need these basic resources the most. Though the application of this power in this manner has good intentions, it is quite counter intuitive. 1.6.3.1. Con: A lot of new jobs would be created through finding an ability to source materials to construct with. Usually jobs go away when the resources run out. 1.6.3.2. Con: That's only in the short term, as the economy will get used to it in the long-term. 1.6.3.2.1. Con: Money would devaluate, causing [inflation](https://www.economicshelp.org/macroeconomics/inflation/causes-inflation/). It happened many times in history, where bills were frantically printed thus causing its value to decrease and generating an imbalance in the economy. 1.7. Peacemaker - being able to stop and resolve any local and global conflicts. 1.7.1. Pro: [1.5 billion](http://web.worldbank.org/archive/website01306/web/early-findings.html) people live in countries affected by violence. Being able to stop this violence would help drastically change the world for good. 1.7.2. Con: Peacemakers may have a biased perspective and may decided in favor of one party over the other and conclude the conflict that way. 1.8. Supreme luck. 1.8.1. Pro: Luck plays a huge role in a person's success in life. 1.8.1.1. Pro: About [half of the differences in income](https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/beautiful-minds/the-role-of-luck-in-life-success-is-far-greater-than-we-realized/) across people worldwide is explained by their country of residence. 1.8.1.2. Pro: The chance of become a CEO is influenced by [your name or month of birth](https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/beautiful-minds/the-role-of-luck-in-life-success-is-far-greater-than-we-realized/). 1.8.2. Con: You run the risk of being unable to fulfill meaningful goals, because you succeed at all ventures that you try, possibly leading you to feel incredibly unfulfilled in life.
