Info archaeology
There's a lot of information lost to the world all the time - and preserving it (like digi archiving) is a way -> give us enough info as possible -> go into the imagination age, as it's part of the information age.
The amount of knowledge that can be accessed at one's fingertips - by digitizing and going back in history and time to find info that's been lost to the world -> help us solve issues know would advance us further as a society. It's so specialized it can even be considered a job.
After info's preserved - it gets put on display - like a museum format
