If instead of having a religion, I shunned the Roman Catholic upbringing I was having at 4 years old, because I developed my morals and standards and life direction at 3. I read a few pages of the bible at 4 and decided, while they're similar to my morals and standards, they're slightly different and those were worse than what I have. So I decided I don't need them, because I can grow up independently on a better path.
By the time I was 10, all my morals and standards got to its peak form. Only a few have been replaced after that. It's really fast and to me, leads to the best capability to live to the best capacity possible. If you want to create a list for yourself, that's fine.
Here's my morals and standards method, so that others can live by them too:
Creating the best mindset to work from (on a daily basis):
It's all for seeking (for working w/ -) reality
Lists:
That said, there are some values I have that I'm extremely proud of and want to shout to the world (they're the quintessence of who I am), so that they learn from them, as I do believe in:
- pushing past the world's collective knowledge to learn something no one else knows to bring it back to share, to move the world forward
- egoistic altruism - helping myself in a way that helps others
- arts, athletics, academics, and a little culture (to move the AAA circle out and have new insights)
- extropianism - of course
