Ideal/Description
Be able to enjoy and become a part of something - instead of having to pander (i.e. put in manual effort) to it.
- Nature has post-scarcity. In a forest, everyone has their own place and niche where they get what they want and need. What we have now is humans not being able to fit into nature, so it's a battle between humans and the forest. A post-scarcity world would let everything - humans and the forest - to have their own niche and exist as they need to.
- post-scarce life
- keys
- reuse > replace
- abundance - of good
- i.e. - everyone has whatever they need
- ex - VR
- i.e. - everyone has whatever they need
- ex's - vis
- imagination age
- don't have to worry about info - collecting, finding
- only focus on - what needs to/is desired - -> be done
- don't have to worry about info - collecting, finding
- independence - of systems (financial - like money, food, education, etc.)

- transportation
- telecommute

Jobs
- possibly - not relying on money to get something done
- One day everyone will be able to:
- work if they want to or not (and however long they want)
- ex - telecommute
- make as much money as they want - without trying
- might be through automation or people sharing your resources for their own needs without impeding your life (like using your unused hard drive space or gathering data while walking that they pay you for)
- work if they want to or not (and however long they want)
- This would likely happen through placement into proper position, opportunity, and resources on-hand.
- People would be able to have a job without applying to a job and be at the whim of the interviewer saying yes or no.
- Not only passive income, but active income can be achieved.
- We're already starting to see this:
- the trend towards renting vs ownership (such as driving services or cloud - where people can rent each other's hard drive's unused space) of the sharing economy means people can give their resources and get paid without effort
- self-driving cars that're owned and rented out would be an automated form of this
- The stock market kind of does this, but the issue is one's dollar takes from someone else's. An ideal world is everyone getting what they want without taking from someone else in an unproductive way.
- Bottle collecting/recycling doesn't require an interview, and people can work however long they want to on it.
- virtual money - in VR
- the trend towards renting vs ownership (such as driving services or cloud - where people can rent each other's hard drive's unused space) of the sharing economy means people can give their resources and get paid without effort

Relationships
In VR, telecommuting, and with endless media content, some present without being sought, anyone can have or imagine any relationship with any being they would like with or without meeting with them in-person or even knowing about it. How much or little is infinite.
WWIII - the last frontier - battling ourselves
In post-scarcity - no one has to worry about
- personal safety/world problems
- i.e. - war, famine, nat disasters, etc.
- that took away from focusing on oneself
- now - it's possible
- it becomes - 1st world prob
- i.e. - what we want in life, intend/need -> do, etc.
- facing ourselves - confrontation - we'd have to deal with/solve
- issue - >>difficult
- soln - transhumanism -> utopia
- reason - we can better ourselves
- -> - equip - half-baked bodies
- -> - handle what needs - -> be done
- -> - equip - half-baked bodies
- reason - we can better ourselves
- soln - transhumanism -> utopia
- issue - >>difficult
- facing ourselves - confrontation - we'd have to deal with/solve

Deontology > utilitarianism
- mindset - fixed vs growth
- reason - utilitarianism - focuses on - outcomes
- i.e. - consequentialist
- not - mindset
- that's why you'd have to watch out for - utilitarianistic trap
- where you preoccupy yourself - in the moment
- of - something minor, guilt, etc.
- that you miss - the bigger picture
- that turns any utilitarianistic goal
- into - a non-worry, something miniscule
- that turns any utilitarianistic goal
- this is why you don't start w/ utilitarianism
- but w/ - deontology
- deontology's - roadmap, blueprint
- that can be perfected
- w/ - utilitarianism
- which lets you - fidget, perfect
- as you keep looking further
- for - better
- -> - jump ->
- once - found
- -> - jump ->
- for - better
- as you keep looking further
- which lets you - fidget, perfect
- w/ - utilitarianism
- that can be perfected
- deontology's - roadmap, blueprint
- but w/ - deontology
- where you preoccupy yourself - in the moment
- i.e. - deontology
- which - analyzes situations
- -> - think about - what -> - do better > improving same thing
- i.e.
- accuracy > precision
- infinity > 0
- progress > perfection
- improving - isn't bad
- it just shouldn't be the end goal
- only - short-term
- reason - long-term (deontology) > short-term (utilitarianism)
- only - short-term
- utilitarianism works hand-in-hand - w/ deontology
- it perfects the direction
- it just shouldn't be the end goal
- improving - isn't bad
- journey > destination
- i.e.
- -> - think about - what -> - do better > improving same thing
- which - analyzes situations
- that's why you'd have to watch out for - utilitarianistic trap
- reason - utilitarianism - focuses on - outcomes
Post-post scarcity = post-need
when you don't need anything
- -> - not need unlimited resources
- -> - achieve freedom
- reason - wasteful
