Success = beauty - perfect, ideal
Direction: striving for reaching perfection in one's ideals
life's definitely hard, but we're harder you can either try to fix an ever growing mess or stop it at its source every no is one more step to a yes the greatest thing to fear is one's own ineptitude ripple effect > martyrdom Problems aren't problems - unless we make them one |
you can soar with the eagles or hang on the ground with the vultures the choice is yours You got to know the game in order to play it. forged > carved |
Life is hard - but we are harder. |
Logic > emotion Only look forward, never look back. |
If you fail -> prepare - you're prepared -> fail |
All for One and One For All |
we all rule the world - in our own way |
you're only as strong as your weakest link |
Be the tortoise at the hare's pace! eyes on the prize Do not let bad people have keys -> kingdom |
find optimized quintessence (what's - right, best) and strive for perfection in these ideals heroes (role models -> inspiration) > enemies (blindside them instead, never give in) |
Always be knowing > guessing |
losers - not worth an ounce of what's good |
Doer > knower > hanger on > circumstance |
pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get to work |

terms
my story - The #1 driver -> my success was emulation. Much as I love emulation (role models are such inspiration!), it's not enough. You got to go beyond -> set the milestones. It's like egoistic -> optimistic altruism - once you've done what everyone did and personally succeeded at it - what do you have to show the world (which includes yourself)? How far can you go? That's true success!

Seek reality to know the truth (of what's really there) |
instead of thinking what can go wrong - why not think what can go right? |
figure it out, keep up > complain (about - confusing, everything's >>speed, etc.), ask others to help you (i.e. - stoop down to your level) |
Prevention is key |
opportunizing mindset
if you only focus on what you can't do, you can never see what you can do (w/ that way of thinking)
|
Seek the vision, work with reality. if you can't beat em or join em, don't get in their way. Utilize them. meaning live the fantasy (i.e. - dream, dream life), deal with reality - as-needed
|
= achieving perfection - of one's ideals = eudamonia
Perfection is possible - just not always desirable.
It's best to find what's needed - and seek the ideals of perfection within that.

there's no need to be content with something that's unsatisfactory. Always seek and try to better until better comes along and attain it. The ideal in life isn't a job - which is to make money, but pursue a passion, which doesn't rely on money and money doesn't impede the progress that's continual of building the skills of that passion (rather than learning the skill of marketing oneself) and leads one to the right audience or vice versa. This only increases the capability of one's true talents, which makes one much more marketable at the end, rather than stopping short.
- It just needs props to continue forward with it. Luckily these days (compared to my day), there are many outlets to do that, like youtube (i.e. putting onself out there, but even that is a distraction - it's important to avoid those regardless, as the skill and passion are the utmost importance in life, outside of one's survival).
This is why post-scarcity is so important - it gives people financial independence to be able to separate oneself from finding money to instead be the opposite: let the money help the passions out.

achieving perfection - correct error, avoid failure
Celebrate the wins, improve the losses. |
There's really no such thing failure - only potential for (i.e. progress bar steps towards) success. |
There are shortcuts -> life
- if - long way = losing!
There's no room for failure! But if it does happen, correct it - that's error.
Sideswiping is the reason I won at everything and why everyone else lost!
Success is about manifestation of ideas. This involves:
It's the most destruction statement to success I ever found. If failure led to success, then every person who dropped out would get a diploma, who's not born would have a job, etc. However, that's not the case. Failure makes you achieve the opposite of success and causes people to be stuck in life, not moving forward. The only time failure leads to success is if something's learned/taken from the situation, but it's not the failure that moved them forward, but the stepping stone they got from it.
This is why circumstances are irrelevant, as it's about motion, not position. People shouldn't look to fail to succeed. They instead should look to take paths that have no risk to them, but only upswing - those are win-win (or at least neutral) situations. If there's a risk, don't take the path. However, if failure comes, that's ok - as long as people know how to fix mistakes as they occur, they don't become problems, so then they are no longer risks. Failure should always be avoided as the focus (including effort).
Example:
People believe that kids should be exposed to diseases and injuries at a young age to increase their immune system. However, if none of that had any chance of being encountered - then there's no need to face suffering in the first place.

There's a difference between an error and failure. A failure is a fundamental flaw that holds someone back. An error is a product that didn't come out right that the environment created. Failure implies there's something wrong with you - and that can't always be fixed - as you can't really see what impression you make on others by leaving your body. A failure is a direction you wanted to take, but didn't work out. An error is a deviation from the correct path. This is why failures don't lead people to success - as the desired end goal isn't that, whereas errors do - because correcting them gets you to new heights. Failures follow you everywhere, even when you do succeed - as the string of failures built up to the success - so when people are done with the success - that's all they have left. Errors, when corrected, are largely forgotten and are rarely gone back to - as they're not part of the success. There's nothing to go back to with error, only the next success to work towards - that's why errors lead to more success each time.

- my 12th grade teacher wanted that
- instead of - students focusing
- on - what they needed -> know
- and - do that
- instead of - be distracted
- and - do that
- on - what they needed -> know
- instead of - students focusing
- my 12th grade teacher wanted that
- then why go through all of that in the 1st place?
- and then say 'all of that won't show you what something's about'
- just - to see - what it all might be about
- where - they want you to look at everything
- -> - think about that
- avoid - being critical
- complaining gets you nowhere
- plus - it's corrupting
- as it's a distraction
- from - the focus
- which - wastes time
- >> - -> avoid
- which - wastes time
- from - the focus
- as it's a distraction
- it's what losers do
- losers - don't succeed
- plus - it's corrupting
- complaining gets you nowhere
- shows you - what - -> focus on
- process - common sense
- w/o - having - -> do it
Knowing when to quit
- hardest (>>) - -> do
- -> - success
- if something's not possible
- maybe - it's meant -> be
- reason - everything happens - -> a reason
- instead - focus - on what is
- and - what matters
- hope - others have chance - -> do better
- reason - if we can't
- at least someone can
- i.e. - someone winning > no one
- at least someone can
- reason - if we can't
- i.e.
- contributing - -> good
- shying away - from contributing -> bad
- even through participation
- by - tearing down - bad
- reason - end up - perpetuating bad
- through - duration
- when - can be - in good
- through - duration
- reason - end up - perpetuating bad
- by - tearing down - bad
- i.e. - reality > expectations
- methods - vis's
- even through participation
- hope - others have chance - -> do better
- and - what matters
- maybe - it's meant -> be
Focus on what matters > non-issues (due -> better existing)
i.e. avoid - being useless - i.e. - caught up in dead ends for nothing - when the real focus is much better
- ex - overopulation
- why focus on attacking what's bad
- when you can sideswipe it -> benefit
- celebrate benefits > punishing negatives
- -> where you become a part of the losing side!
- ex's - digital beings, space infrastructure, <resource use -> post scarcity
- celebrate benefits > punishing negatives
- when you can sideswipe it -> benefit
- why focus on attacking what's bad
Tied into learning, success is the progress of independent (sometimes converging and diverging) series that only moves forward
We're all responsible for ourselves in the end regardless of what happens to us, but anyone can be at fault for making someone take on that responsibility.
Every time we contribute to a concept, we move forward. We can move back overall for one's placemark, but the accumulation of work always increases, never decreases.
For learning, a letter grade doesn't indicate whether someone learned or not. The level one achieves and is at in the current time is where someone's at in a concept. Whenever they contribute something, only then do they move forward in it. Only when someone gets a concept do they move forward. That said, the level of expertise, the 'placemark', that a person's currently at in each subject is going to be where they're at with that subject (i.e. academic one). That might be way ahead or behind where a classroom and what a letter grade says. People should work off their placemark, not grade, to add onto it and move on from there.
That is why learning isn't a one-size-fits-all situation and why schools don't work - because they fit everyone into a box that they shouldn't be in. Everyone's on their own journey with their own progress and teaching should meet students where they're at academically and move them forward where they need to (not where they're struggling in, as fixing that might not move them forward, but placing efforts in their priorities - what they should move forward in learning. It goes back to success and failure - students should focus more on new material to succeed in, rather than dwelling on mistakes and failures - unless they need to correct them to move forward). Schools shouldn't be failure-based, but success-based, as that's what propels people into productivity more.

Tips
- never take a new path, unless there's 0 risk of failing, and only upswing
- unless - you have to
- and even then - make sure
- you know - what you're doing
- and even then - make sure
- unless - you have to
- always start on the right path - if possible
- < - bad one
- if the right path isn't there - create it
- forge - new territory
- let the world around you - build itself up
- for - you
- -> - enter
- when it's built (and the bad way's able to be left)
- jump - in
- when it's built (and the bad way's able to be left)

- let the world around you - build itself up
- forge - new territory
Antithesis - combo

- soln - <jealousy
- i.e. - instead of focusing on others
- and being upset that they have - what one doesn't have
- people should focus on oneself
- i.e. - take on responsibilities
- -> - be better > being upset of what others have
- soln - coexistence
- i.e. - be a better person
- if one wants better - do better > knock others
